Classic Soca Rafting

Boka-Trnovo, stretching at about 8 km, is the most classic route and contains easy as well as more challenging rapids which make your rafting adventure memorable.

The starting point in good water conditions is close to the 106 m high Boka waterfall, a 10 min drive from the office in Bovec. In the summer months, due to lower water levels, the trip starts in Srpenica (6 km).

The descent with the big raft (up to 8 guests) starts in a calmer section and 1,5 h on the river rafting adventure you experience also rapids class IV. On the way, we stop for jumping, swimming, raft sliding and finishing our journey in Trnovo ob Soči. In total, you will spend approximately 3h on the entire adventure.

  • Minimum participants: 2,
  • maximum rafters on one boat: 8 plus the guide,
  • in high season we often make boats lighter due to low water levels (up to 6 guests).

How difficult it is to do classic rafting?

We can measure difficulty in two ways. One way is how physically challenging it is, and the other, how technical and adventurous it is. All of our trips are guided, which means a highly qualified, licensed guide guides your raft and gives directions and safety instructions. Rafting is considered to be the easiest among the activities but it’s recommended for guests to be healthy and in good general physical condition.

As for the adrenaline part – we measure rivers with grades that reach up to class VI. The commercial part that we do rafting on, has the most challenging section which reaches class IV. We start with easier rapids, but we as well visit the most technical part of our rafting Soca route. The difficulty depends on the water level as well. With higher water levels we might decide to change the section due to safety reasons. To conclude, rafting Bovec is appropriate for a wider range of guests, from children from the age of 6 to active adults depending on the route, but we guarantee you will be hungry and a little weary after your whitewater adventure.

What about our youngest?

The classic rafting trip is appropriate for kids from the age of 6, accompanied by adults.
