Soča Canyoning: A Paradise for Thrill-Seekers
There are 2 gorges that you simply can not miss if you’re in for a true canyoning experience.
Fratarica and Predelica canyons both offer a challening descend with mighty waterfalls, high jumps, and exhillirating rappels to get your blood flowing. Each canyon presents a unique adventure, combining rugged terrain with breathtaking natural beauty. As you navigate through these canyons, you’ll encounter a variety of adrenaline-pumping obstacles that push your limits and ignite your sense of adventure. The Fratarica Canyon
Fratarica is only a 15 minute drive from our offices in Bovec and is cut into one of the more demanding rock faces in the Julian Alps – Loška Stena.
The canyon offers a steep and challenging descent, andrequires ropes on three waterfalls.

The Predelica Canyon
Predelica is the most demanding canyon in the upper Soča Valley. The gorge begins its journey below the Predel pass and ends at the mouth of the river Koritnica near Log pod Mangartom.
The difficulty and lenght of this descend can be adjusted.
The upper Predelica is comparable in difficulty to Fratarica, while the Lower Predelica longer and more demanding. If you’re in excellent physical condition and find navigating difficult terrain for extended periods manageable, you might consider tackling the entire Predelica. This challenge requires prior experience in canyoning or abseiling.
