What Should You Bring?
You’ll get most of the gear the moment you step into our base. But there are a few essentials to bring along so you’re comfy before, during, and after the adventure.
Swimsuit
This is your base layer under the wetsuit, so pick something snug, comfy, and free of zippers, knots, or decorative bits that might dig in. Simple sporty styles work best, they stay put where they should. Wear them from home and jump straight into the action.
Towel and Dry Underwear
Once you peel off that wetsuit, a soft, dry towel is your new best friend. Wrap yourself up, towel your hair, sit in the sun, and breathe it all in. There’s no better post-river feeling than slipping into fresh, dry clothes. Stash your clean undies and outfit in a backpack, we’ll keep it safe in our van waiting at the finish line.
Sunscreen (high SPF, please!)
The sun reflecting off the water can be sneakily strong. Apply sunscreen before you arrive and throw a travel-sized tube in your bag just in case. Forehead free of burn lines? Yes, please.

Complete Rafting Gear
We kit you out with a protective helmet, neoprene wetsuit, waterproof anorak, life jacket, and neoprene shoes. All gear is suited to the Soča’s current temperature and the local weather which means you’ll be comfy whether the sun’s out or the clouds roll in. Everything’s clean, checked, and ready for splash mode.
Licensed Guide
Every rafting group gets its own guide (sometimes even two!) — and trust us, these folks are something else. Part lifeguard, part coach, part stand-up comic, part local legend. They’ve got licenses, loads of experience, and that sixth sense that knows exactly when a wave’s about to get wild. Your job? Have fun, paddle hard, and follow their lead.
Transport
We’ve got the logistics covered. From our Bovec base, we shuttle you to the river launch point and pick you up at the end. Your adventure kicks off the moment you hop in the van loaded with rafts, paddles, and great vibes. Our drivers have the perfect playlist to pump you up, plus the occasional fun fact or local tip. The ride to the river takes about 10 minutes.
River Permit
You need a permit to raft the Soča but don’t worry, we handle all the paperwork. You just bring the smile.
What Not to Bring?
We get it, you’re hyped! It’s tempting to pack everything from snacks and sunnies to that ancient camera that’s survived a few too many trips. But on the Soča, the golden rule is: less is more. Here’s what can stay safely at home or in the hands of our lovely team.
Cotton? Nope.
Graphic tees and quirky accessories might be fun, but cotton and water? Not friends. When wet, cotton gets cold, heavy, and uncomfortable. It doesn’t belong under a wetsuit, so let your fave shirt sit this one out.
Valuables
Engagement rings, necklaces, car keys… leave them with us. We’ve got a safe spot at the agency where your treasures can chill while you go full river warrior.
Unprotected Phone or Camera
We get it, you want the pics! Especially somewhere as ridiculously photogenic as the Soča. But unless your gear is truly waterproof, leave it behind. No selfie is worth chasing your phone downstream. Besides, our pro photographers are on it. They’ll capture the best moments for free. That way, you can totally unplug and still take the memories home.
